O' Shaughnessy wins Gold in the national Print Finals with his image "Jack
and the Lady" in the monochrome section. He also wins the Bronze Medal
in the colour section for his image "Snarl"
- Colm
Kane recieves a FIAP ribbon in Limours, France for his black & white
print "Friends", another FIAP ribbon for black & white print
"Joe Duff" in the Photo Club Sible in Romania & wins th Grand
Prix in the Algarve, Portugal for his colour print "Martin's Lounge".
- In
the National league Finals Gabriel O'Shaughnessy wins the Gold Medal for
his Colour print "Washstand" and also wins the Silver medal for
his Monochrome image "Skipping".
- On
the international scene Gabriel also wins a F.I.A.P. Silver medal in the
prestigious Spanish salon Trofeo Gipuzkoa, with his image "Tv Room".
Tv Room also wins Gold in the Scottish International salon and also got
him a cert in the Edinburgh international as did his colour image "Old
Room".

Medal for his image "Boat Wreck", wins a Venice International
Gold Medal for Colour Print "Into the Mist", wins a Venice International
Silver Medal for B&W Print for "Time to Move", is awared a
Southampton Medal for slide "Mourne Horses", recieves a Southampton
Certificate of Merit for slide "Sand Surfer", is awarded F.I.A.P
Ribbon for colour print "Into the Mist" and another F.I.A.P. Ribbon
for B&W Print "The Ferryman"

International Highly Commended for B&W Print "The Ferryman",
is awarded 1st place by Louth County Council Environmental Awards for "Mourne
Horses", is successfully entered into Allied Irish Bank 2005 Calendar
for his image "Fresh Start", wins an IPF National Print Competition
B&W Silver Medal for "The Ferryman" and an IPF National Print
Competition Regional Round Gold Medal in Slide for "Mourne Horses"
2003

Kane wins a FIAP bronze medal in Florange, France for his black & white
print "Little Mary Kate". Also wins Diploma Artec in Belgium for
his B&W print "Kettle and Shovel".

Whelehan wins IPF
National Print & Slide Silver Medal and IPF National League Finals Championship
Gold Medal for his image "Sand Surfer"

O'Shaughnessy wins a Silver medal in the monochrome section of the national
slide and print finals for his print "Sinead". He also picked
up a cert' for his monochrome image "August Evening" and also
won a Silver medal in the colour print section for his image "Ship
street Kids".

Denis Whelehan wins Gold Medal in the Print & Slide for "Mountain
Horse"; Tony McDonnell wins Bronze Medal for Monochrome Print "Blue
Portrait"; Gabriel O'Shaughnessy wins Certificate of Merit for Monochrome
Print "Benny"; Seamus Regan wins certificate of Merit (colour
print - non-advanced section) for "Blackrock Sunrise"; Pat Sheridan
wins in slide section, non-advanced for "The Red Handle."

Kane wins in the 16th Biennial Belgium Club Mouscon FBCP Medal for "Friends."
He also won the top B/W and overall image in the Galway Exhibition.
- Tony
McDonnell wins February Monthly Competition in "Practical Photography"
with his B/W "Commode". This shot also received a FIAP Ribbon
in the Edinburgh PS International Exhibition.
- Gabriel
O'Shaughnessy won the top Colour print and overall image in the Tallaght
Exhibition.

Denis Whelehan obtains his EFIAP distinction, the result of competing over
eight years in international competitions, with 50 acceptances.
- Lynne
Byrne wins first prize for Top Urban Landscape, with her image "The
Green Church" in "The Gap of The North" competition between
Co Louth and Newry & Mourne District.
- Colm
Kane has four acceptances in La Passerelle competition in France, obtaining
a FIAP Blue Ribbon for his image "Knockbridge Landscape".

the Mist"

Denis Whelehan wins Gold Medal in Slide & Print Competition for his
colour print, "Into the Mist." Tony McDonnell wins Certificate
of Merit for "Abandoned" and Colm Kane also wins a Certificate
of Merit for his monochrome print "Stephenstown House."

also wins a London Salon Medal for "Into the Mist."

The Dundalk P.S. comes second in the overall section of the National Shield
Competition; Brinan Boyle wins 2nd in the Monochrome Print Section; Gabriel
O'Shaughnessy wins 3rd in the Monochrome Print Section and 1st in the Colour
Print Section.
1999

Dundalk P.S. wins National Shield in Kilkenny. Arthur Carron won Gold Medal
for best colour print; Tom Gernon won 3rd prize in this section. Brinan
Boyle had her colour print "The Bride" included in a panel of
prints representing IPF in Celtic Challenge. The Celtic Challenge is a competition
between the Photographic Federations of Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Brittany,
Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The IPF won the competition which
was held in Banbridge. Brinan's print won the Colour Print Section and she
was presented with an IPF medal.

Denis Whelehan wins a Gold Medal for his colour print "Solitude"
in the Fuji National Slide &Print Competition at Trinity college as
well a bronze medal for his colour slide, "Rolling Clouds."

Tony McDonnell wins a certificate of merit in the Fuji National Slide &
Print Competition for his slide "The Tanks" and also certificates
for his monochrome prints "Summer Interlude" and "Visit to
Stephenstown."

Colm Kane wins Certificate of Merit in Southampton for "Joe Duff"
and "Kettle & Shovel."
1998

Colm Kane wins sports photography prize in "Wash and Go" competition.
He also receives a certificate of merit from 85th Southampton Exhibition
for "Knockbridge Landscape." Colm also receives a FIAP Silver
Medal for "Kettle & Shovel" at the llth Semaine Photo Exhibition,
France.

The Dundalk P.S. receives lst place in Monochrome in the National Shield
Competition and come 2nd overall.
1997

Colm Kane's photo "Vintage Glory" is featured on the two centre
pages of the 1997-YEAR BOOK OF PHOTOGRAPHY.
- "Kettle
& Shovel" also by Colm won cup in Salon International in France.

Denis Whelehan wins Gold Medal in Kodak Slide & Print for his slide
"No Intruders." Colm Kane wins silver in black and white for "Kettle
& Shovel."

Colm wins FIAP Ribbon Award at 33rd Photo Club, ESCH, Luxembourg 97 Salon
for "Friends." He also wins FIAP Silver Medal for same print at
"The 22nd Salon International Orleans '97."

Tony McDonnell wins FIAP Ribbon Award at "The 33rd Photo Club, ESCH,
Luxembourg 97 Salon for "Corrina."

Whelehan wins bronze medal and FIAP ribbon from Austrian Super Circuit for
"Winter Lake" also bronze medal for "Blue Belle.
1996

18th FIAP Colour Print Biennial hosted in County Museum with World Cup in
Photography going to Italy. Award accepted by local man, Alvaro Lucchesi,
a member of the Italian community in Dundalk.

Colm Kane wins FIAP Gold Medal in black and white section South Shields
International Salon. He is the fist person in Ireland to win a gold medal
in an international salon.

1995

Dundalk P.S. hosted Agfa National League Finals in County Museum, Dundalk.
- Tony
McDonnell had 16 acceptances to the Austrian Circuit--overall 42 acceptances
for club members.

P.S. won the National Shield in Listowel.

Whelehan and Liz Byrne won Silver Medals in Kodak Slide & Print 1995.
