Dundalk Photographic Society won the 2007 National Shield Final which took place on Sunday 10th November 2007 in Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow. 24 clubs from around the country took part on the day, from as far afield as Mallow, Shannon, Clones and Dublin taking part in the competition. It was a very competitve year with Dundalk overcoming Malahide and Celbridge Camera Clubs to take the honours.
Along with the team success, panelist Dave Martin won the Individual gold medal in the Colour Print section and panelist Niall McEntegart won the Individual gold medal in the Monochrome Print section. The DPS Panel topped the Monochrome Print section on the day and came 2nd in the Colour Print sction by just one point, being pipped by Malahide. The overall DPS panel score was 803 points, the highest ever in the history of the IPF Nataional Shield Competition.
