Marie Curie Cancer Charity Night a Great Success

The Northeast region hosted Jim Moreland (Belfast) and raised over 700 euro for the Marie Curie Cancer Foundation on Thursday 3rd April 08.

Most clubs in the region were in attendance at the Dundalk venue where Jim gave his time freely to provide an excellent evenings entertainment. Jim started with a very impressive digital slide show stitched to music, which showed over 250 images in just eight minutes. This high octane start to the evening got everybody listening as Jim went on to talk in depth about his 45 years in professional photography.

Jim's layback approach was both informative and highly entertaining. The night finished with Jim's favourite prints on show as he talked openly about how he achieved these stunning black and white masterpieces.

A special thanks must go to the Louth County Museum for the premises which is a top class venue for this kind of event. Thanks also to Brian Hopper and Eugene Quigley for organising the event and Denis Whelehan (Chairman of Dundalk Photographic Society) who compered this successful evening.
