PSA is a worldwide interactive organization for anyone interested in photography, be they casual, serious amateurs or professional photographers. Individuals, Camera Club, Chapter and Council members are offered a wide variety of activities which include a monthly magazine, photo and digital competitions, study groups and free mentor service via mail and the internet, how-to programs, a web page for twenty of your images, an annual conference and a raft of other activities and services. Recognition of photographic achievement (ROPA) distinctions, PPSA, EPSA, MPSA can be achieved through acceptances in PSA recognised international exhibitions. The Photographic Society of America was founded in 1934 to “Promote the Arts and Sciences of Photography and to further public education therein”. There are members in all 50 states of the US as well as 60 other countries of the world. PSA Headquarters is located in Oklahoma City.

Region Director Ireland
Denis Whelehan AIPF EFIAP joined Dundalk Photographic Society in 1986. Most recent positions held; Secretary 2001 to 2006. Chairman 2006 to 2009. Irish Photographic Federation Council member 1996 to 2001 and was re-elected in 2008.Distinctions: AIPF 1999, EFIAP 2001.
